Onboarding confirms which route you are applying under. From there the Portal sets the sequence: learn each competence, draft your application in the tool, prepare for the interview. Everything you need, in one place.
Technical knowledge is the part candidates underestimate. The Academy has 29 APM endorsed modules, one for every ChPP competence, with over 1,000 resources across 200+ topics.
APM Endorsed
All 29 of the Portal's learning journeys
have been endorsed by APM, the body that sets the ChPP
standard, so what you learn meets that standard.
Every topic, in the format that suits you:
+ Cohort Group kick-off and checkpoint sessions to pace your learning.
Draft your application in our online tool. See what good looks like in worked examples, and tag each passage of evidence against the areas it demonstrates, so your word count goes where the requirements are.
In the drafting tool:
+ Cohort Written coach feedback on your actual drafts, directly inside the tool.
Learn exactly what to expect at interview on your pathway. Review example questions and model answers, and practise against the competences you have chosen. All written by a former APM assessor.
Preparing for the day:
+ Cohort A full mock interview with personal feedback.
Read a complete technical knowledge area inside the Academy itself, free for seven days: the learning objectives, a study guide, a deep dive, a one page summary, the slides and the podcast. The same material members read, so you can judge it before you pay.
APM Endorsed
APM sets the ChPP standard and assesses your application, and
the same body has endorsed every technical knowledge module in
the Portal.

Our most complete route to Chartered. Everything in the portal plus a guided cohort that keeps you moving with real accountability and expert feedback. Two group sessions to orient you and check your progress, then two one-to-one sessions with your coach to review your draft application and rehearse the interview itself, booked when you are ready for them.
Our most complete and hands-on route to chartership. Everything in the Portal, plus virtual instruction and 1:1 guidance on your application.
Meet your cohort, understand your route through the standard, and leave with a clear plan for the months ahead.
Review progress across the competences and surface where the evidence is thin, then how to write your application: what to evidence, and what assessors expect to see, before you start drafting.
A one-to-one session with a former APM assessor, who reads your draft application and tells you what is working and what to update before you submit.
A one-to-one mock interview under realistic conditions, with direct, personal feedback from a former APM assessor, so the real one holds no surprises.
The cohort is coming soon. Register your interest and we will email you as soon as places open, before they are offered publicly.
Choose the level of support that suits you: the self-paced portal on its own, or the portal plus a guided cohort that carries you through the application and interview alongside others.

Project professionals preparing for the APM Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) application and interview. The journey adapts to your experience level: newer practitioners get the fundamentals in full, while experienced practitioners can move straight to evidencing what they already do.
The technical knowledge modules are. APM has endorsed the learning material behind every ChPP competence, plus the module on ethics and professionalism: the learning objectives, the order the material is taught in, the videos, study guides, deep dives, summaries, slides and podcasts, and the knowledge checks that close each module.
It is an endorsement of learning content, and it stops there. APM assesses your ChPP application; we do not, and the endorsement has no bearing on how your application is judged. See exactly what is endorsed.
It depends on where you are on your journey as a project professional, and whether any of your qualifications are recognised by APM. No recognised assessment puts you on Pathway 1. A recognised assessment for technical knowledge (such as the APM PPQ) means Pathway 2; one for professional practice (such as the PMQ with validated experience) means Pathway 3. If you hold one of each, you can choose Pathway 2 or 3, and we recommend Pathway 3 for its shorter interview and single elective. Pathway 4 is only for people who hold a recognised assessment APM lists for Pathway 4, such as APM RPP or an employer's own scheme. Your pathway shapes which competences you evidence, not your price, and we confirm it with you during onboarding, so you are never left guessing.
Not sure which applies to you? Find your route in two questions.
The Academy Portal, £699 + VAT (£838.80 incl. VAT), is the complete self-paced learning experience: every competency, every format, and full guidance on the application and interview, worked through in your own time.
The Portal + Blended Cohort, price to be confirmed, includes that same portal and adds a place on a guided cohort, four live online sessions across four to five months, two group plus a one-to-one review of your draft application and a one-to-one mock interview with a former APM assessor, so you have live guidance, accountability and expert feedback alongside the material.
You join a cohort for four live online sessions across four to five months. The two group sessions run on fixed dates: a kick-off, then a checkpoint that reviews your progress and covers how to write your application. The two one-to-one sessions with a former APM assessor, a review of your draft application and a mock interview, you book yourself, so they land when your draft is ready rather than on a fixed date. You work through the portal material between them.
No. Both memberships are a one-off payment, and nothing recurs. The Academy Portal is £699 + VAT (£838.80 incl. VAT). Prices are shown without VAT, which is added at checkout. The price of the Blended Cohort, which adds four live sessions, is still to be confirmed.
The Academy is fully self-paced, and every area comes as reading, video and audio, so it fits around real work. How long the whole journey takes really depends on your pathway and how much of the standard you already do day to day. The guided journey makes it clear what your route needs and what you can skip.
Both memberships include the full portal: the guidance library for every competency your route calls for, the complete resource kit, application guidance, interview preparation and the guided journey. The Blended Cohort adds four live online sessions across four to five months, two group, and two one-to-one with a former APM assessor, on top of everything in the portal.
APM's own application fees are separate and paid directly to APM. We set out exactly what those are during onboarding, so there are no surprises.
It happens, and it's recoverable. The Academy helps you make sense of the assessor feedback and rebuild the weaker parts of your submission, and you can book a debrief to turn that feedback into a clear plan for resubmitting. Most applications that fall short do so on how they're evidenced rather than on ability, and that's the part the Academy is built to fix.
Chartered status is kept, not just earned. The Portal sets out the CPD you log each year and how to record it, so staying compliant after the assessment is straightforward.
