Accessibility statement

This statement applies to pmelevation.co.uk and to the PM Elevation Academy at academy.pmelevation.co.uk. Both are run by PM Elevation Ltd. It does not cover our administrative tools, which only staff use, or any third-party site you may reach from ours.

Compliance status

These sites are partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 level AA. The non-compliances are listed under known gaps below.

What we have tested and met

Measured on 27 August 2026 across every public page, every page of the members' area, and both desktop and phone widths:

• Keyboard. Everything can be operated without a mouse. Each page starts with a skip link past the navigation, the focus indicator is visible on every control against every background we use, and dialogs take focus, hold it, and close on Escape.
• Reflow (1.4.10). No page needs to be scrolled in two directions at a width equivalent to 320 pixels, which is what 400% zoom on a laptop comes to. Wide tables scroll inside their own frame, and that frame can be scrolled with the arrow keys.
• Contrast (1.4.3, 1.4.11). Text and interface components meet the AA ratios on every page and state we were able to render.
• Captions (1.2.2). Videos carry captions that have been checked by a person rather than left as the machine produced them, which matters for a subject dense with names and acronyms.
• Target size (2.5.8) and focus visibility (2.4.11). Small controls have the clear space the guidelines require around them, and no sticky header or bar covers the control you have tabbed to.
• Text spacing (1.4.12). Increasing line, letter, word and paragraph spacing to the levels the guidelines specify does not cut off or overlap any content.
• Signing in (3.3.7, 3.3.8). Nothing has to be typed twice in a flow, password managers work, and pasting into the password field is not blocked.
• Session expiry (2.2.1). If your sign-in expires while you are drafting, your text is kept in the browser, the page says so, and you can save again once you are back in. Work is not lost.
• Page changes. The members' area is a single-page app. Moving between its pages sets the page title, announces the new page, and moves keyboard focus to the start of the content, so it behaves like a normal page change rather than changing silently.
• Motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, our animations do not run.

Known gaps

These parts are not compliant. Each says what is wrong and what we intend to do.

• Audio episodes have no transcripts (1.2.1, level A). The guidance library will include audio-only episodes, which need a transcript. None of them is published yet, so there is no back catalogue to correct: transcripts are part of the production brief and will be published with the episodes. If an episode ever appears without one, that is a fault and we want to hear about it.
• Some videos need audio description (1.2.5, level AA). Parts of our videos show diagrams and worked examples that the narration does not describe in full. Someone who cannot see the screen will miss that content. We have not yet added audio description or an equivalent text alternative, and this is the gap we expect to take longest.
• Documents in the library have not been assessed. The guidance library will include study guides, deep dives, presentations and one-page summaries as PDFs. Their accessibility is a separate question from these web pages and we have not yet checked them. Ask us for any document in a format that works for you and we will provide it.
• The security check on our forms can be a barrier. Signing up and signing in use Cloudflare Turnstile. We chose it, so the barrier it creates is ours, not the supplier's. It is set to challenge people only when it needs to rather than always, but it can still stop someone getting in. If it stops you, email us and we will set your account up by hand. That route is slower than buying directly, so it is not an equal path, and removing the barrier itself is the real fix.
• No screen reader user has tested the purchase path. We have checked what both sites report to assistive technology and fixed what that found, including a sign-in error that was shown in red and announced to nobody. That is not the same as someone using the sites with VoiceOver or NVDA. That testing has not yet been arranged, and we will say here when it has been done.

How we tested

Last tested 27 August 2026 by PM Elevation Ltd against WCAG 2.2 level AA. Testing covered every page of the public site and of the members' area, at both 1280 and 320 pixels wide, and combined three things: automated checking with axe-core in a real browser; keyboard-only passes through signing up, paying, opening a guidance module and drafting an application; and an inspection of what each page reports to assistive technology.

The automated checks now run on every change we make, so faults of that kind stop a release. Two limits are worth stating. Automated tools find only a minority of accessibility problems, which is why the outstanding gap above is about testing with people rather than more tooling. And they only see the pages and states our tests visit, so a page reached in an unusual way, or an error we did not trigger, is not covered.

We review this statement at least once a year, and whenever we make a significant change to either site.
